The event took place in Gurgaon (Feb 23-25) and Chandigarh (Mar 1-3, 2024), featuring renowned Japanese artists. The Chandigarh exhibition at Govt. Museum & Art Gallery was graced by Mr. Rajeev Verma. A second exhibition opened at Japan Foundation (Oct 5), attended by dignitaries like Mr. Nagaraju Maddirala IAS and Lt. Gen. Sanjay Kulkarni. The event concluded with mesmerizing Bharatnatyam performances by Japanese dancers, celebrating cultural harmony.

On March 13, 2024, Connect India Japan hosted The Rising Sun Conclave, celebrating the India-Japan partnership. The event featured Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Mr. Takashi Ariyoshi, and Dr. Neerja A. Gupta, along with eminent speakers discussing defense, economy, startups, and cultural diplomacy. A Bharatanatyam performance by Utaha Komaki and an award ceremony honoring leaders in trade, culture, and diplomacy added grandeur. The conclave concluded with a cultural program and networking dinner, further strengthening Indo-Japanese relations.
2. Tokyo Cup Indo-Japan Golf Tournament
Connect India Japan proudly hosted the Tokyo Cup Indo-Japan Golf Tournament, bringing together 100+ diplomats, government officials, and Japanese CEOs at ITC Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon. The event blended sportsmanship, cultural exchange, and luxury, featuring 7-star dining, elite networking, and an exhilarating golf experience, culminating in a prestigious award ceremony. As we celebrate this unforgettable event, we are excited to announce that the next Tokyo Cup will be held in Tokyo, continuing our tradition of unity and excellence.
3. The Rising Sun Conclave 2
On February 25, 2025, Connect India Japan hosted The Rising Sun Conclave 2 at the India International Centre, New Delhi, bringing together visionaries, policymakers, and business leaders from both nations. Key dignitaries included Ms. Smriti Irani, Mr. Takashi Ariyoshi, and Ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa. The event featured thought-provoking discussions, cultural performances, and the India-Japan Excellence Awards, honoring outstanding contributions to bilateral relations.A special virtual address from Ambassador Sibi George further emphasized the enduring Indo-Japan friendship. As we celebrate this success, we look forward to The Rising Sun Conclave 3, set to take place at the same venue on February 26, 2026.
