1. The Rising Sun Conclave

The inaugural edition brought together top voices across defense, economy, startups, and cultural diplomacy. Graced by Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Mr. Takashi Ariyoshi, and Dr. Neerja A. Gupta,  an India -Japan Excellence Award ceremony, and a networking dinner — setting the gold standard for India-Japan conclaves.

The second edition elevated the dialogue further with Ms. Smriti Irani, Mr. Takashi Ariyoshi, Ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, and a special virtual address by Ambassador Sibi George. Featuring thought-provoking panel discussions, cultural performances, and the India-Japan Excellence Awards, this edition cemented Connect India Japan’s place as a premier bilateral platform.

The most recent edition based on the theme “Modi-Abe Vision for India-Japan” Keynoted by Mr. Amitabh Kant (Former CEO, NITI Aayog & India’s G20 Sherpa) and DCM Takashi Ariyoshi, with a special video message by Mrs. Akie Abe. The India-Japan Excellence Award was presented to Shri R.C. Bhargava, Chairman of Maruti Suzuki & Padma Bhushan awardee. Featured an outstanding lineup & leading strategic thinkers from both nations.

2. Tokyo Cup: Indo-Japan Golf Tournament - Edition 1 & 2​

The inaugural Tokyo Cup brought together 100+ diplomats, Japanese CEOs, and government officials for a landmark blend of sportsmanship, luxury, and cultural exchange. Held at the prestigious ITC Classic Golf Resort, Gurgaon, the day featured elite networking, a 7-star cuisine lunch, and a grand award ceremony — setting a new benchmark for Indo-Japan engagement beyond the boardroom.

The second edition raised the bar further, uniting corporate leaders, diplomats, government officials, and entrepreneurs from India and Japan on the greens. Awards celebrated sporting excellence across categories — Tournament Champions, Best Lady Player, Longest Drive, and Closest to the Pin. The day concluded with a gala networking lunch focused on innovation, collaboration, and the next chapter of India-Japan growth.

3. Ms. India Japan 2025​​

September 24, 2025, marked a defining moment in Indo-Japanese relations as Connect India Japan crowned the first-ever Ms. India Japan. The evening opened with grace as Mrs. Akie Abe, Former First Lady of Japan, shared heartfelt words on the enduring friendship between her late husband, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The celebration featured a classical dance, musical performances, and keynote addresses by Shri R. Madhu Sudan, Chargé d’Affaires, Indian Embassy, Tokyo and Mr. Kazuya Nakajo Executive Advisor, JETRO. The jury included Dr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, noted speechwriter and Special Advisor to the late Prime Minister Abe; Mr. Kazuya Nakajo, representing JETRO; Prof. Rajib Shaw of Keio University; Mr. James Angelus, President, International Security Industry Council, Japan and Ms. Luma Naomi, Miss Grand Japan 2024.

Twenty finalists brought two cultures to life through three stunning rounds. Dressed in kimonos, in sarees, and in evening gowns, Out of 20 finalists, Ms. Chiharu Sakamoto was crowned the first-ever Ms. India Japan 2025.

4. The Rising Sun, Mumbai 2025

The Rising Sun, Mumbai 2025 became one of the year’s most influential India–Japan engagements, Held on 19 November 2025 at ICONIQA Hotel Mumbai and hosted by Connect India Japan,.

The conclave opened with a graceful Ganesh Vandana, followed by an address from Shri Rahul Narwekar, Hon’ble Speaker, Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, whose remarks highlighted Maharashtra’s emergence as a high-impact corridor for Japanese partnerships.

Panels featured a dynamic lineup of speakers, each offering deep insights into growth sectors and cross-cultural opportunities. 

5. EDUCON 2025: The Future of India–Japan Education​

EDUCON 2025, a three-day India–Japan Education Conclave hosted by Connect India Japan in collaboration with Banaras Hindu University, brought together leading voices in academia, research and policy.

Day 1 opened with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi as Chief Guest, who highlighted the deep cultural and academic resonance between India and Japan, 

Day 2 featured rich discussions on geopolitics, science diplomacy, and global standards in higher education. 

Day 3, graced by Major General (Dr.) Gagan Deep Bakshi, SM, VSM, shifted focus to leadership, culture, and youth empowerment.  EDUCON 2025 emerged as a forward-looking platform committed to shaping a collaborative, future-ready India–Japan academic landscape.

6. Japanese Fine Art Exhibition

Connect India Japan, in collaboration with Kasagi Gallery (Kamakura), hosted a prestigious Japanese Fine Art Exhibition in India. The event took place in Gurgaon (Feb 23-25) and Chandigarh (Mar 1-3, 2024), featuring renowned Japanese artists. The Chandigarh exhibition at Govt. Museum & Art Gallery was graced by Mr. Rajeev Verma. A second exhibition opened at Japan Foundation (Oct 5), attended by dignitaries like Mr. Nagaraju Maddirala IAS and Lt. Gen. Sanjay Kulkarni. The event concluded with mesmerizing Bharatnatyam performances by Japanese dancers, celebrating cultural harmony.
