The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) is set to host the vibrant Kizuna 2024 festival, a celebration of Japanese culture and its deep-rooted connection with India. Organized by the Centre for Japanese Studies, School of Language, Literature, and Culture Studies (SLL&CS), in collaboration with the Embassy of Japan in India, the event will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Convention Centre, Auditorium I, JNU.
A Day of Cultural Immersion
Kizuna 2024 offers a diverse range of activities for attendees to immerse themselves in Japanese culture:
- Workshops: From 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, participants can delve into traditional Japanese crafts, including Yukata demonstrations, Origami, and Calligraphy.
- Furuhonichi: A traditional book market showcasing a unique collection of Japanese texts and materials.
- Stage Performances: Starting at 2:00 PM, Japanese language institutions will present captivating performances highlighting the linguistic and artistic richness of Japanese culture.

Kizuna 2024 aims to foster cultural understanding and strengthen the people-to-people bond between India and Japan. By showcasing the diverse facets of Japanese culture, the festival provides a platform for attendees to appreciate the country’s rich heritage and modern expressions.
