
In a magnificent celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage, the Embassy of India in Tokyo witnessed the grand opening of the Bharat 2025 cultural festival. This unique event featured a twelve-hour non-stop celebration of music, dance, art, and traditions, marking a vibrant moment in India-Japan cultural diplomacy.
The opening ceremony was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Culture of India; Mr. Takeshi Saito, Hon’ble Mayor of Edogawa City; Ambassador Sibi George and Madam Joice Sibi. Together, they inaugurated the festival with symbolic lighting of the lamp, reflecting the warmth of Indo-Japanese friendship and the timeless spirit of Indian traditions.
The day-long festival unfolded like a cultural odyssey — featuring classical dance performances, folk traditions, live music concerts, yoga demonstrations, handicraft exhibitions, and Indian cuisine sampling. The immersive experience was designed to transport visitors straight into the heart of India’s cultural landscape.
