Tokyo – The Embassy of India in Tokyo has invited all members of the Indian community and friends of India to participate in the Flag Hoisting Ceremony marking the 79th Independence Day of India on Friday, 15 August 2025. The event will be held at the Embassy premises, located at 2-2-11 Kudan-Minami, Chiyoda-Ku, Tokyo, 102-0074.
The programme will begin with assembly at the chancery premises at 07:45 hrs, followed by the flag hoisting by H.E. Mr. Sibi George, Ambassador of India to Japan, at 08:00 hrs, accompanied by the National Anthem. At 08:10 hrs, the Ambassador will read the Hon’ble President of India’s address to the Nation, followed by a patriotic song by students at 08:25 hrs.
Attendees are requested to carry valid ID cards for entry and avoid bringing large bags or suitcases due to security measures. No parking will be available for personal vehicles.
