India Month Inaugurated in Japan: A Celebration of Bilateral Ties

A month-long celebration of the strong and enduring relationship between India and Japan kicked off today with the inauguration of India Month. The event was graced by the presence of Ambassador Mr.  Sibi Georgie and H.E. Masahiro Komura, Hon’ble Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The India Month initiative aims to showcase the rich cultural heritage, diverse traditions, and economic potential of India to the Japanese people. Throughout the month, a series of cultural events, exhibitions, and seminars will be held in various cities across Japan.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Mr. Sibi Georgie emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties between India and Japan. He highlighted the growing economic cooperation between the two countries and the potential for further collaboration in areas such as technology, infrastructure development, and defense.

H.E. Masahiro Komura expressed his admiration for India’s vibrant culture and its rapid economic growth. He emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the two countries to address global challenges such as climate change, terrorism, and economic inequality.

The India Month celebrations are expected to foster greater understanding and appreciation between the people of India and Japan, and to strengthen the bilateral relationship in the years to come.
