Tokyo, Aug. 15, 2025 – The Embassy of India in Tokyo celebrated the 79th Independence Day of India with a flag hoisting ceremony attended by members of the Indian community and friends of India.
Ambassador of India to Japan, Sibi George, unfurled the tricolor and read out the Address to the Nation by the Hon’ble President of India. The event was marked by patriotic spirit and active participation from the community.
As part of the celebrations, Ambassador George also interacted with Indian school students, encouraging them to stay connected with India’s culture and values while contributing positively to Japan-India friendship.
The ceremony reflected the unity and pride of Indians living abroad and their strong bond with the motherland.
