The Embassy of India in Tokyo is set to host an Indian Movie Festival ( Classic Indian Movies with Japanese Subtitles )on Saturday, January 18, 2025, in collaboration with Uchisaiwaicho Hall. This unique event aims to bring Indian cinematic excellence closer to Japanese audiences with the screening of three iconic films, all subtitled in Japanese.

The festival will be held at Uchisaiwaicho Hall, 1 Chome-5-1, Uchisaiwaicho, Chiyoda Ku, Tokyo, 1000011.

1. 3 Idiots (きっと、うまくいく) – Indian Movies with Japanese Subtitles

Indian Movies with Japanese Subtitles

• Time: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• An award-winning Hindi comedy-drama following the lives of three engineering students. Known for its heartfelt storytelling, the film highlights the joy of living authentically and choosing one’s own path.

2. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama

• Time: 2:30 PM – 4:45 PM

• An anime adaptation of the ancient Indian epic, Ramayana. This visually stunning film recounts the story of King Rama, offering timeless lessons on courage, honor, and devotion.

3. Super 30 (スー)

Indian Movies with Japanese Subtitles

• Time: 5:00 PM – 7:40 PM

• A biographical drama about Anand Kumar, an Indian mathematician who selflessly coached underprivileged students to crack the prestigious IIT-JEE exam, transforming their futures.
