The partnership aims to accelerate cross-border innovation by connecting the rapidly growing startup ecosystems of India and Japan. Through this initiative, startups will gain new opportunities to collaborate, scale technologies, and explore international markets.

The collaboration will focus on several high-impact sectors that are shaping the future of technology and industry. These include pharmaceuticals and medical devices, space and aerospace technologies, defence and mobility solutions, as well as deeptech innovations such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, and Industry 4.0.

As part of the partnership, a range of support programmes will be introduced to help startups navigate new markets. These include startup exchange programmes, market access support, regulatory guidance, and investor connect platforms. The goal is to provide startups with the resources and networks needed to expand their presence beyond domestic markets.

For Indian startups, the partnership will open structured pathways to enter Japan’s advanced technology ecosystem and collaborate with Japanese corporations and research institutions. At the same time, Japanese startups will gain access to India’s fast-growing market, diverse talent pool, and dynamic entrepreneurial environment.

Leaders from both organizations believe the initiative will strengthen innovation-driven partnerships and encourage knowledge exchange between the two countries. By creating stronger bridges between India and Japan’s startup communities, the collaboration is expected to generate new business opportunities, promote technological advancements, and contribute to long-term economic cooperation.

With both nations increasingly focusing on innovation and technology-led growth, the partnership between T-Hub and Japan External Trade Organization represents another important milestone in the evolving India–Japan startup ecosystem.
