JIGER is expected to create new opportunities for collaboration in the bilateral academic space by promoting joint research initiatives, strengthening institutional partnerships, and enhancing student mobility between India and Japan. The centre will serve as a platform to encourage knowledge exchange, innovation, and academic engagement between universities, researchers, and students from both countries.
The launch of JIGER reflects the growing importance of education and research cooperation in the broader India–Japan strategic partnership. By expanding opportunities for collaboration, the initiative aims to contribute to the development of future leaders, researchers, and innovators who can further strengthen ties between the two nations.
