In a heartwarming celebration of devotion, unity, and Indian tradition, the Shri Ram Mandir in Bando, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, will mark its 2nd Anniversary with the auspicious Shree Jagannath Rath Yatra on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Devotees, families, and members of the Indian diaspora in Japan are warmly invited to participate in the spiritual festivities and cultural celebrations.
The event is jointly organized by Shri Ram Mandir Japan and the Shree Jagannath Society Japan, reflecting the shared values of Sanatan Dharma, devotion, and service.

A Day of Devotion and Culture
The day will begin with sacred rituals, pooja, hawan, and aarti, invoking blessings from Lord Ram and Lord Jagannath. The highlight of the celebration is the Chhera Pahnra ritual, followed by the pulling of the decorated chariot (Rath Yatra), re-enacting Lord Jagannath’s annual journey with Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra.
A cultural program featuring devotional music, dance, and children’s performances will add vibrancy to the day. The Bhandara (community meal) is open to all attendees, fostering a spirit of inclusiveness and seva.
