In a moving tribute held at Tama in Tokyo, the Indian community in Japan gathered to celebrate the birth anniversary of freedom fighter Rash Behari Bose. The ceremony, led by Ambassador Sibi George and Madam Joice Sibi, paid heartfelt floral tributes to one of India’s most revered revolutionaries who shared a deep and lasting bond with Japan.

Marking the occasion, Ambassador George announced the launch of the ‘Rash Behari Bose Year 2025-26’, a year-long celebration dedicated to taking Bose’s message of courage, unity, and freedom to every corner of Japan and beyond.
The solemn event was attended by a large number of Indian nationals, honoring Bose’s unparalleled contribution to India’s freedom struggle. In his remarks, Ambassador George hailed Bose as a National Hero who dedicated his life to India’s independence. He also emphasized the importance of the recent All-Party delegation’s visit from India to Japan, underlining a shared commitment to Zero Tolerance Against Terrorism.
The ceremony was not only a remembrance but a reaffirmation of the enduring friendship between India and Japan, built on the legacy of brave souls like Rash Behari Bose.
