The Embassy of India, Tokyo, organised the Viksit Bharat Run at Ōjima-Komatsugawa Park with enthusiastic participation from Team India, members of the Indian diaspora, students, and well-wishers. The event celebrated the spirit of service, sustainability, and collective responsibility under the ongoing Seva Pakhwada.

The run was graced by Shri R. Madhu Sudan, Charge d’Affaires, and Madam Dr. Annapurna, who joined the gathering alongside Embassy officials and community members.
In his address, Shri Madhu Sudan highlighted the shared aspirations of Viksit Bharat—a prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable India—and emphasized the vision of Atmanirbharta (self-reliance). He underlined the importance of uniting as a community to contribute to initiatives such as Seva Pakhwada and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam. To mark the occasion, he planted a tree, symbolising growth, sustainability, and collective responsibility towards the environment.

A pledge was also administered, with participants affirming their commitment to nation-building, sustainability, and working towards India’s development vision.
The event saw the spirited participation of over 200 members of the Indian diaspora, who joined the run with great enthusiasm. The atmosphere was marked by unity, fitness, and shared purpose. Following the run, refreshments were served, creating a warm space for camaraderie and community bonding.

The Viksit Bharat Run not only strengthened the connection of the diaspora with India’s development journey but also reaffirmed the values of inclusivity, service, and sustainability at the heart of Viksit Bharat.
