Mr R Madhu Sudan, DCM delivered a talk on the principles of Mahatma Gandhi at the Martyrs’ Day commemoration event at Nipponzhan Myohoji Daisangha. The event was well attended by the friends of India.

The gathering marked Martyrs’ Day, observed to honour Mahatma Gandhi and reflect on his timeless message of truth, non-violence, and moral courage. Mr R Madhu Sudan, DCM spoke on the enduring relevance of Gandhian principles in today’s world, highlighting their importance in promoting peace, mutual respect, and ethical leadership across societies.

Nipponzhan Myohoji Daisangha was founded by Nichidatsu Fujii who had met Mahatma Gandhi in 1933 and was referred to as Fujii Guruji by Gandhiji. This historic connection added special significance to the commemoration, reinforcing the deep spiritual and philosophical ties between India and Japan.

The event served as a meaningful reminder of the shared legacy of peace and non-violence, bringing together the friends of India in a spirit of reflection, respect, and solidarity inspired by the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi.
