CM Yadav’s Meeting with the Indian Diaspora in Kobe

On the third day of his four-day visit to Japan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav engaged with the Indian diaspora in Kobe, lauding their contributions and inviting them to participate in the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025 in Bhopal.

“Indians are like sugar in milk; they mix seamlessly wherever they go. Your contributions today will pave the way for future generations,” CM Yadav remarked, highlighting the significant progress made by Indians abroad.

He emphasized India’s growing stature in global investment, stating that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India is striving to become a ‘Vishwaguru’—a global leader in economic and technological advancements.

Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in Kobe

Marking Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary, CM Yadav paid floral tribute at Gandhi’s statue in Kobe, reflecting on Bapu’s ideals of peace, non-violence, and service to society.

“The ideal life of Bapu will always inspire us to serve the nation and society,” he stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Osaka Visit: Investment Talks with Panasonic Energy

Following his visit to Kobe, CM Yadav arrived in Osaka to tour Panasonic Energy’s office, a key player in battery technology and renewable energy solutions.

During his meeting with Panasonic executives, he highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s industrial strengths, including:

-Robust infrastructure & skilled workforce

– Specialized industrial parks

-Investment-friendly policies

“Madhya Pradesh is poised to become a leading investment hub by fostering innovation in the energy sector. I invited Panasonic Energy to explore new opportunities in our state,” CM Yadav stated.

Panasonic Energy’s Presence in Madhya Pradesh

• The company has been operating in Pithampur (near Indore) since 1989.

• It has invested ₹60 crore in manufacturing advanced batteries for industrial use and electric vehicles (EVs).

Proposals Discussed with Panasonic Energy

• Expanding Panasonic’s manufacturing unit in Pithampur for battery storage & EV technology.

• Establishing a Research & Development Center in Madhya Pradesh.

• Collaboration in renewable energy solutions and electronics manufacturing.

The Chief Minister assured Panasonic of full government support and invited company representatives to visit Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage sites, including Sanchi.
