A group of students from St. Joseph’s Convent School, Chandannagore, Kolkata, visited Tama Cemetery in Tokyo today in a heartfelt moment of remembrance and reflection. Accompanied by their teachers, the students met with the Indian Ambassador during their visit.
The purpose of the visit was to pay homage to freedom fighter Rash Behari Bose, whose final resting place lies in Japan. The students stood in silence, offered floral tributes, and reflected on Bose’s immense contribution to India’s freedom struggle, particularly his pioneering role in building bridges between Indian and Japanese patriots during colonial times.

The presence of the Ambassador added a profound significance to the moment, as the students listened intently to stories of Bose’s courage, sacrifice, and vision. The interaction left them inspired to carry forward his spirit of resilience and patriotism.
This moving tribute marked not only a connection with India’s past but also a reminder of the power of remembrance and the responsibility today’s youth carry toward shaping the future.
