Together, they made Tokyo Cup 2 a grand celebration of sports, business, and cultural connection.

A Gathering of Leading Companies

The event brought together many well-known Indian companies such as Trehan Iris, MCPI Private Limited, UNO Minda, Eldeco Group, AKS, and Technico Industries Ltd. Their presence showed how strongly Indian industries support closer ties with Japan.

It wasn’t just a golf game it was a platform for networking, new ideas, and real conversations between business leaders from both nations.

Haryana – The Heart of Indo Japan Growth

The tournament took place at a very special time. Haryana has been growing fast as one of India’s top hubs for Japanese companies. The state’s industrial zones  especially Manesar and Gurugram are becoming centers of Japan-led business activity in India.

With the support of HSIIDC, Tokyo Cup 2 perfectly matched Haryana’s vision to welcome more Japanese investments and strengthen India–Japan business ties.

Connect India Japan – The Team Behind the Vision

Behind the success of Tokyo Cup 2 is Connect India Japan (CIJ) a unique platform that connects India and Japan through media, business, and culture. CIJ runs a bilingual news portal, a print and digital magazine, a podcast series, and various events that bring people and industries from both nations closer.

At the center of it all is Ms. Nupur Tewari, the Founder of Connect India Japan and the visionary behind the Tokyo Cup. Having lived in seven cities in Japan, she deeply understands Japanese culture and values.

Ms. Tewari believes that golf is more than a sport in Japan  it’s a place where relationships are built through respect, not just meetings. Her vision was to bring this spirit to India, creating a space where people from both countries could connect naturally not just through business, but through shared experiences.

More Than a Game

What made Tokyo Cup 2 special was not just the competition, but the friendship that formed on the golf course.

Indian and Japanese players met, played, and laughed together many for the very first time. By the end of the day, it didn’t feel like two countries meeting. It felt like one big family enjoying a beautiful day of sports and connection.

The real win was not just on the scoreboard  it was in the smiles, the handshakes, and the new bonds that were formed.
