Shri R. Madhu Sudan, Chargé d’Affaires at the Embassy of India in Japan, hosted an interactive meeting with Hon’ble Members of Japan’s House of Representatives H.E. Mr. Rintaro Ishibashi, H.E. Mr. Ryutaro Sakamoto, H.E. Mr. Daichi Sakamoto, and H.E. Mr. Koki Ozora along with Members of the House of Councillors, H.E. Mr. Kazuhiro Fujii and H.E. Mr. Hidenori Nishita.
The discussions covered a wide range of topics concerning India-Japan relations, underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to further deepen their strategic, economic, and cultural partnerships.
During the meeting, Shri Madhu Sudan and the Japanese lawmakers exchanged views on the growing convergence between India and Japan in areas such as trade and investment, technology collaboration, digital innovation, connectivity, education, and people-to-people exchange.
The Chargé d’Affaires highlighted the strong foundations of the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership, emphasizing how the relationship continues to play a vital role in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region. The visiting lawmakers appreciated India’s rapid economic growth and reaffirmed Japan’s continued support for collaborative initiatives that strengthen bilateral ties.
