Beloved Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was recently hospitalised due to heatstroke but is recovering well, according to his manager.
Khan was admitted to Ahmedabad’s KD Hospital on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024, after experiencing heatstroke and dehydration. This incident coincided with a severe heatwave gripping parts of India, with temperatures exceeding 45°C (113°F).
Khan’s hospitalisation sparked concern among his countless fans. However, his manager, Pooja Dadlani, quickly took to social media to assure everyone that he was “doing well” and thanked them for their love and support.
Reports suggest Khan was attending an Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket match for his team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, in Ahmedabad when he suffered heatstroke. The intense heat likely contributed to his condition.
Thankfully, Khan made a swift recovery. News outlets reported he was discharged from the hospital on May 23rd and is expected to be back in good health soon. His wife, Gauri Khan, and close friend Juhi Chawla were seen visiting him at the hospital.
This episode serves as a reminder of the dangers of extreme heat. With summer upon us in India, it’s crucial to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous activity during peak sun hours, and wear loose, protective clothing.
Shah Rukh Khan’s experience highlights the importance of taking precautions against heatstroke, especially for those venturing outdoors in scorching temperatures.
