Hailing from a family that relied on his daily labor to make ends meet, Gagan spent his formative years alongside his father and brother, lifting gas cylinders for a meager daily wage of Rs 350. The arduous task was a far cry from the dreams that silently nurtured within the young boy’s heart.

Despite the demanding physical labor, Gagan’s spirit remained undeterred. His unwavering belief in the power of education fueled an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Taking a bold leap of faith, he decided to dedicate an entire year to his studies, turning to the online platform Physics Wallah for guidance.

The gamble paid off spectacularly. Gagan emerged victorious in the fiercely competitive JEE Advanced 2024, securing an impressive All India Rank of 5,286. His achievement is a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the transformative power of education.

The young prodigy’s journey, however, is not merely about academic excellence. It’s a story of overcoming adversity, of breaking free from the shackles of poverty, and of inspiring countless others to chase their dreams.

Recognizing Gagan’s extraordinary feat, Alakh Pandey, the founder of Physics Wallah, has extended a helping hand. A scholarship worth Rs 4 lakh has been awarded to Gagan, along with promising job opportunities for both him and his brother.

Gagan’s admission to IIT BHU for Electrical and Communication Engineering marks the beginning of a new chapter, one filled with immense potential and possibilities. His story is a beacon of hope for millions of underprivileged students across the country, proving that with determination and the right support, dreams can indeed become reality.
