The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Shaunak is currently participating in a bilateral exercise with the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) in Yokohama. To mark this significant event, a reception was co-hosted by Ambassador of India to Japan, Mr. Sibi George, and Director General Paramesh Sivamani, DG Indian Coast Guard, onboard ICGS Shaunak.

The reception provided an opportunity for officials from both countries to interact and strengthen the bilateral ties between India and Japan. The exercise aims to enhance interoperability and cooperation between the two maritime forces, focusing on areas such as search and rescue operations, maritime domain awareness, and disaster response.

This joint exercise underscores the growing strategic partnership between India and Japan in the Indo-Pacific region.
