Indian Embassy in Tokyo: Team India, along with members of the Indian community in Japan, solemnly observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at the Embassy of India in Tokyo. The gathering paid heartfelt tribute to the millions of people whose lives were lost or uprooted during the Partition of 1947.
The observance served as a reminder of the tragic human cost of Partition, while also reaffirming the collective resolve of Indians across the globe to uphold values of unity, peace, and harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, India’s Ambassador to Japan, Sibi George, recalled Operation Sindoor and emphasized India’s unwavering stand against cross-border terrorism. He reiterated that India follows a policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism in all its forms, underlining the nation’s determination to safeguard peace and stability.
The event brought together athletes of Team India currently in Tokyo, diplomats, and members of the diaspora, symbolizing the shared remembrance and commitment of the community towards building a future rooted in resilience and togetherness.
