Hindu Community Celebrates Spring with Bal Marathon in Tokyo. The 7th annual HSS Japan Bal Marathon and celebration of Hindu Nav-Varsh with over 250 participants, including children and parents from the Indian community in Tokyo on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Komatsugawa Park, Ojima, Tokyo. The race took place to promote healthy living and celebrate the Indian New Year with the local community and also the Welcoming the Spring with the fully bloomed Cherry Blossom (Sakura),
The marathon featured races for different age groups, with medals awarded to all participants except adults. Deputy Chief of Mission Sh. Mayank Joshi attended the event and flagged off the races. The event aimed to promote participation over winning.
