The Indian Ambassador to Japan, Mr. Sibi George, and his wife Joice Sibi organised a special reception. The purpose of this event was to bid farewell to Mr. Mayank Joshi and his wife Isha Joshi. Mr. Mayank Joshi has been appointed as the new High Commissioner of India to Jamaica.
Many important guests attended, including officials from the Indian Embassy in Tokyo. Partners and friends of India who are based in Japan also joined the event.
During the reception, Ambassador George and the other guests wished Mr. and Mrs. Joshi all the best for their new assignment in Jamaica. The guests appreciated the services rendered by Mr. Joshi during his tenure in Japan.
Mr. Joshi thanked the Ambassador, the Indian Embassy team in Tokyo, and the Indian community members for their support during his stay in Japan. He expressed his eagerness to take up the new responsibility of representing India in Jamaica.
The farewell reception allowed the Indian officials and community members to interact with the outgoing High Commissioner in a warm atmosphere. Such events strengthen the bonds between Indian diplomats and the diaspora community abroad.
